Klaus joined QACE from the German flag State Administration, most recently as Head of Division Maritime Safety, also heading the German MSC IMO delegation. Klaus has been a Member State Representative of the Administrative Board of EMSA, Board member of the ship building research centre HSVA, member of the scientific advisory council of the German Institute of Navigation and member of the IACS Independent Appeals Board.

Christian joined QACE in November 2016. He began his career as a deck officer in the merchant fleet followed by 39 years of service in the Danish Maritime Authority. The last 13 years he held the position as Deputy Director General and was responsible for maritime safety, security and protection of the marine environment. In addition Christian was the representative of Denmark at a number of international, regional, multilateral and bilateral events, including IMO diplomatic conferences, Assemblies and sessions in the Maritime Safety Committee and Marine Environment Protection Committee since 1988. He was the chairman of the Maritime Safety Committee in the years 2012 – 2015.

Xie joins QACE with a broad base of regulatory and operational experience. With the China Maritime Safety Agency as Director for International Affairs he is also Chairman of the IMO DSC sub-committee. Xie has served within the Agency as Deputy Director Ship Safety and Pollution, London based as Permanent Representative to the IMO and as a flag and port State Section Chief.

Dean joined QACE with his long and varied experience with ship operations and management, ship building, technical and safety management. Twenty years as the Technical Director for Thenamaris, he was also a long term member and Chair of RO Technical Committees. He is a past Chairman of the INTERTANKO Safety, Technical and Environmental Committee and member BIMCO Technical Committee. A participant of the Tankers Structure Cooperative Forum (TSCF). Advisory member to the IACS CSR Rules and EMSA Double Hull Tanker experts groups and IMO Goal Based Standards pilot group. A founding member of the association of Marine Technical Managers of Greece (MARTECMA).

Francis brings to QACE his long Shipowning experience. He has been vice Chair of INTERTANKO and Board member of the UK-Club. He has chaired the French Maritime Institute (involved with all fields of marine activity and safety) and was responsible for the foundation of the French Maritime Cluster of 400 companies. Francis represented France at the Board of Directors of EMSA and is a past Chairman of the Agency.
